In The Salon
I'm very pleased to have been included in a Salon.com article by Laura Miller. She features N.K. Jemisin and myself in a discussion of our books, fantasy, and cultural identity. It was great talking with her, and terrific to be included with Nora!

Great article. Just read it. I can't wait to finish your Acacia books, David, now that they are all out.
N.K. Jemisin looks very interesting, too.
Congrats!
Thanks Ron!
I have been fans of both of yours for some time.
I finished The Sacred Band yesterday (wonderful book - and a grand ending, and new beginning, to the world you created. I so appreciate the intelligence and honesty with which you concluded the story.) and the next book on my list, which I started last night, is The Kingdom of Gods. Coincidence? I think not.
Very nice article. Glad you both are getting the recognition you deserve.
Thank you so much. It's really heartening to hear you enjoyed the series and how it concluded. It sounds as if you brought a lot to the reading of it, and came away with just the reaction I hoped for.
Reactions so far have been very good to the conclusion, but I never take that for granted. Some readers don't engage with it nearly as much, or don't recognize the "intelligence and honesty" which you so kindly mention. Thank you for being one of the ones that does!
Please spread the word about the series if you get a chance to. The Salon article is terrific, but nothing beats word of mouth!
Oh, I do spread it. I am a (sometimes) reviewer for Fantasy Book Review (a bit remiss for a while...) as well.
I try to bring a lot to reading a book because I believe you, and other authors, have brought a lot to writing it. It is only fair, and respectful, to treat it seriously and thoughtfully.
So thank you for the way you approach your craft and the audience. I'm really looking forward to the new series...
I am a fan of both you and Ms. Jemisin and am currently reading "The Sacred Band."
That's great. I hope you like how it wraps up. Please tell people if you do!
