Hey David,
Great to see you and Jesamin get some ink. Though the comments section surprised me--I didn't know there are so many myopic readers at Salon. I'm a big fan of Glenn Greenwald's work, who's a contributor there, though the place is otherwise pretty tame, not to mention advert heavy.
That said, hopefully you'll get some new readers from it.

Hi Shawn,
Laura assured me that the comment threads don't represent Salon readership in general. Salon lean pretty far left, which means the comments get cluttered with cranks out to stir in a level of ickiness that's out of proportion to their numbers. Standard fair.
I reckon it will get me a new reader or two, although those things are very hard to measure. No doubt about it, though, the piece has received a lot of attention.
