Blanvalet To Finish The Acacia Trilogy!
Have I mentioned this yet? I don't think I have, so let me shout about it now.
My German publisher, Blanvalet, has signed on to publish The Sacred Band! I've no idea when it'll come out, but it's happening.
I'm pleased. One of these days there will be another cover to go with these two, and they're will be completion!
Labels: Blanvalet, Foreign Editions, The Sacred Band

Can't wait for the new cover! By the way, just finished Sacred Band. Very enjoyable. One question, when does the actions on the book cover take place? I don't remember any of those characters entering a cave with a dragon.
Between you and I... I'm not sure just what's going on in the cover either. The image seems to take different elements of the book and combine them together in a scene that's not actually in the book. I certainly queried my publisher about this. They said not to think so literally. The visual impression of the cover is what counts. What's in the book... is it's own story.
I also discussed it with a host of other authors I'm on an email listserve with. They unanimously said the same thing. They all liked the cover, and said that's what matters more than anything.
So, that's the story.
That makes sense. I personally like the cover a lot. Although I was getting nearer and nearer to the end of the book thinking, "is Aliver going to end up in some cave soon or what?"
Excellent. The German covers have always been my favorite and I have high hopes for the third one. Oh, I too will chime in and say that the Sacred Bond was quite enjoyable - do come back and write more sooner rather than later.
Thank you, Daniel.
