The BBC Penguins
This clip is actually about a year old, I think, but I still find it... just amazing.

Ah, yes. I remembered the penguins from last year but they are still a thing of joy.
Are you sure this isn't a fake? Seems like their wings are still too small to hold their big bodies up for that long of a flight. I watched it with my kids and they don't believe me it's real. So I started wondering. And it seems fake to me now too.
Ah, I mean, yeah, cool. Can't believe I didn't see it until TODAY. :)
Ryan,
Thank you for that reaction! You've given me a good chuckle, which is what that clip was all about...
Mary,
It is is a "thing of joy", isn't it? I wonder why... I can't help but grin as I watch it.
Ahem. And today is what DAY?
Clever Clogs.
They remind me of my wiener dogs. Those can fly too... they chase birds around the yard all day.
In Mary's defense I think anytime you see even a fake penguin doing anything it stirs emotions in you. And if it does not then you kinda suck don't you? I mean, how bitter do you have to be to not feel a sense of wonder for penguins?
;) Happy April 1st everyone. Great clip/joke David.
Yeah, David, so I watched it and thought wow, that's pretty cool. I called my children up and they didn't believe it for a second. Ages 10, 12, and just turned 15 today. They were like it's not real, their wings couldn't hold up their fat bodies.
I was like, no, it's real. It's like from the BBC like the Discovery channel or something. They never fell for it. So I decided maybe they were right and decided I better let you, Mr. Durham, know it may not be real. You being a best-selling author and all. Might not look too smart believing it.
After I posted I realized the day and didn't really want to ruin it for anybody but had to say SOMETHING so as not to look like a total idiot :)
Well, I've sent the link to your website to numerous people as a practical joke. Let's just hope they don't read the comments now.
Thanks for the laugh though.
Gah.
I was good and sold, until they landed in the rain forest. And even then, I wanted to believe it anyway.
Pardon me while I go put on my DUNCE cap. LOL
Fun. Thanks especially to Stephe and Ryan anyone else that spent even a few moments "believing". I'm sure, ultimately, that says something good about you...
