Off To BEA!
I know, I haven't really finished talking about WisCon yet. I will, I assure you, but I'm being kept busy at the moment. In a few minutes I'm off to Book Expo America in LA. Should be interesting. I'll grab some free books, spend Random House's cash, meet the rich and famous, and (hopefully) convince lots of bookstores to stock up on the paperback of Acacia.

It's always great spending other people's money and well, to say that spending money in LA is easy would be an understatement.
Be sure to snap some photos.
It's currently 70 in LA, with no smog alerts that I could find so... you might get lucky and visit without losing years of your life. ;)

Doh! I didn't bring a camera. It's not exactly that I forgot, it's more that I didn't want to embarrass myself. I think I'm having dinner tonight with Barbara Walters, Anne Rice, David Guterson and Mia Kirshner, and others... The potential to embarrass myself is considerable. A camera might just mean it's caught on film.
The weather today is lovely. Just landed. Loosing years of my life? You forget that I've lived in Fresno the last eleven months. I've already lost a decade. I'm gonna have to figure out how to get that back...
Yeah, I have that problem too. Normally, at dinner, I find that I have a hard time getting food in my mouth, but my foot seems to fit perfectly!
Tell Barb I said "Hi". She'll know who you're talking about. Barb and I go way back. ;)
