Blanvalet Rocks!

Okay, I know I should do an Elf Fantasy Fair post, and I will. Thing is, I got home to a wonderful email from my new German editor, Urban Hofstetter. He's clearly got some big plans for Acacia: Macht und Verrat (Power and Betrayal), and I'm thrilled by the things he said. Made me blush, really. Nothing I can repeat here, BUT I do want to show you all the German cover. I love it. Kinda stunned by it. What do you think?

Wow! I really like that cover. Much better than the U.S. version in my opinion.

Damn, that's a good cover! Foreign edition covers have gotten a whole lot better lately.

Great cover!

Unfortunately, I prefer reading English, so will buy the English version.

Good to meet you at Elf Fantasy Fair, and I should be putting a post on it up, too.

Wow! What a stunning cover. Makes my little artistic heart go pitty pat. I do like the reds in the U.S. cover - Gives things a different feel.

So when do we get to see battle pictures? :)

Glad folks like it. Of course, I still have a long relationship ahead of me with the US cover, so I can't behave unfaithfully to that one. I still like it. It's just amazing, though, how different somebody else's take can be - while still being true to the book.

Jetse, I enjoyed talking to you as well. The socializing was definitely one of the many highlights of the fair.

Acacia - Power and Treason.

It's a nice cover indeed. I'll see if I can get the local library into buying one, after all, they have a pretty collection of translated Fantasy by Blanvalet.

Yeah, it's my new computer desktop background. Loosing quite a bit of time staring at it...
