NY Social Diary?
Okay, this is kinda weird. I've just made my first appearance in the pages of New York Social Diary. It's because of the Pen/Faulkner Gala. Check it out - there are photos!
And no, I don't usually travel in such circles...

Don't be so modest! It's a big deal and you weren't invited by accident (love your suit, btw). You should continue to be proud of yourself. I'm jealous. The closest I'll be to that many authors/writers is at the SF Writers Conference next year. :p
quite dapper sir.
What fun! But, um, where's the tiara?
Oh... ah... the tiara? You see, I'd been warned against wearing it among this crowd. I wouldn't want to show anyone up, you see.
I'll go put it on now, though...
Looking sharp, David. Seems like it was a nice event. Congrats on the NY Social Diary! Sorry, I haven't commented in a while on your blog. My wife and I recently moved, and we're still in boxes. Since you just moved not long ago, how long should we expect to be in boxes? I didn't realize we had so much stuff before the move.
Dude, I suggest you get everything you can out of boxes right now. If you don't use the momentum you might find things still in boxes years later. I speak from experience...
;)
Thanks for the advice. The entire move has thrown me off my normal routine. Can't wait for everything to return to normal.
I'm good at taking the stuff out of the boxes; it's where I should put it that is the bigger question. Most of the time, I'll put something in one place, and my wife ends up moving it. So now I just move the stuff out of the boxes and ask her what room it should go in.
