A Shetland Moment
I'll say a word or two about LosCon soon, but I just got home and noticed a recent post on my wife's blog. Just some pictures of Shetland, really, but I find them quite stunning. I'll be over there soon myself.
Beautiful. Kinda heartbreaking to have not been part of it for the last couple of months. How weird.

That IS beautiful...
Bryan
Thanks, Bryan.
Yeah, I think so too.
Wow, that scenery is breathtaking. I read back on the posts, and now I so want to travel to Scotland again.
Can I raise? My brother took this photo yesterday while going to class. The white line is the end of the quay.
Luckily I live and work in the Mainland.
Ah... I assume that the quay is supposed to be above the waterline?...
Well, yes. Even the doors are supposed to be above the waterline.
Oh. That's not good. This is Venice, I presume? The Sinking City. I toured much of Italy, but never got to Venice. Perhaps I should have...
Ah, I figure that you missed this.
The article is a bit dramatic, high waters are a part of life here (not for me, I live in the Mainland, and in a high area who is safe from river and rain floodings too).
Oh, yes, I did miss it. I've been a bit self-absorbed lately. Thanks for the links.
